In an era of smooth sax sound-alikes, Bob Franceschini remains of one the instrument’s most original, vital voices. Credit his early schooling with Salsa stars Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente and Willie Colon, and his R&B/pop turns with Paul Simon, Chaka Khan, Jennifer Lopez and Lionel Ritchie—all of which has shaped his cutting-edge contributions to jazz trailblazers Mike Stern and the Yellow Jackets. He has done master classes all around the globe and has students that study with him in person and on SKYPE. He prefers helping more advanced players but will take on intermediate level players if they are dedicated to excellence. He is based in NYC. |
